Wear Orange Wednesday
Let's celebrate our local SES Volunteers
Every day some where in our great country someone puts on a pair of orange overalls and gives freely of their time to protect their local communities. These people are the volunteers of the State Emergency Service .
They might be your neighbor, local shop keeper or family member , they all have one thing in common they want to give something back to their local community.
These people volunteer their time to help people in their time of need whether it be at a motor vehicle accident , during a severe weather event or your local fair .
They train on a regular basis to perfect their skills , skills that can be take any where from work to our recreational persuits . They respond 24/7 to emergencies rain , hail or shine often leaving family and friends behind .
Never a grumble is heard ! These are the volunteers of your local SES.
☆☆Your local SES meet on the 2nd and 4th monday of the month @ 7pm at the Swansea Emergency Services building , new members are always welcome so why not come and have a look☆☆
Wednesday the 11th of May is National Wear Orange Wednesday ( or WOW day) where we celebrate and thank our SES volunteers and all they provide in our community.
