Australasian Road Rescue Challenge Alice Springs
A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to attend the Australasian Road Rescue Challenge in Alice Springs from the 22nd -27th of July . The weather was great but as usual it cooled during the evening . Teams from throughout our region attended including one from Hong Kong and three New Zealand teams . In total 17 teams participated in the three day challenge and the learing symposium
Three great Road Crash Rescue scenarios with new vehicles and a long workshop time provided our tassie ses volunteers with a fantastic learning enviroment with all the team taking home valuable information for disemination to their respective units . The inclusion of the trauma challenge provided our paramedic and one volunteer with a fantastic learning enviroment without the consequences . Feedback provided by our peers was invaluable and the chance to utilise the latest tools and technology was of a great benifit .I would like to thank our team membersTasmania SES and the Glamorgan Springbay Council for their support in participating in the challenge.
